Conference papers will be published in the ‘Book of Abstracts’. The papers will be probably provided an opportunity for publication in the “Conference Proceedings” at Thomson Reuters website (e-book) or in the journals listed in the “Under the patronage of” section. 

After the manuscripts have been reviewed  by the Scientific Committee, we will publish extended abstracts.  We are planning to publish full-length articles on Thomson Reuters Website, but we are not sure yet.
For this reason, we propose the publication of full-length articles in "Ido Movement for Culture. Journal of Martial Arts Anthropology", which is a specialist journal (it has an indexing of Elsevier/Scopus). There will also be a possibility of publication in "Revista de Arte Marciale Asiatica" or "Physical Activity Review", but in this case the decision will be made by their editors and reviewers.

Abstracts (formal requirements)
 
The extended abstract should not exceed 2 pages (1.800 characters with spaces per one) and should follow the structure of the article (Introduction - 3-5 sentences about the subject and the aim with 2-3 references; Methods - sample, variables, data analysis method; Results - the most important ones, referencing to respective tables is encouraged; Discussion and conclusion - highlights from the discussion section and the most important conclusions). Figures, tables, diagrams and fotos are not allowed. Three to six key words, not coming from the title, should also be provided.
Should be sent in an electronic form (e-mail). Word processor: Word, type: 12 Times New Roman CE, single space, standard margins, alphabetic references at the end of the text.
 
The Editorial Board accepts abstract written in English only - either the American English or British English. Abstract may be rejected if written in poor English. The author is fully responsible for the style (formal, unbiased in any sense), language, and content of the paper. Yet, the Editorial Board has the right to comment on the form and language of the paper before it is accepted for publication. A good, standard command of grammar is expected in written English. Authors should avoid non-standard abbreviations.
 
The abstract book use a form similar to the Harvard reference system in the "Idokan Poland Association style" (IPA). For example, if the author quotes someone else's work, it should be presented in the following manner: [Capra 1987: 50-51; Sasaki 2009] or [Rżany, Cynarski 2001; cf. Cynarski et al. 2002; Czajkowski 2001, 2007a, b]. Footnotes with continuous numbering should include only additional information and not other author's works quoted in the article.
 
The list of references should contain only the authors cited in the text. The reference section ("REFERENCES") should accept the following form:

You should enclose information about the author's affiliation. We do not provide for any payments (neither for authors nor for evaluators). By publishing in the abstract book, authors transfer the copyrights on published papers to Scientific Committee of the Congress.

The Scientific Committee will decide on the evaluation of papers, with regard to choice of oral presentations and poster proposals as well as workshop presentations.

Poster Session Guidelines
 
A poster session will be held on Wednesday, October 15th from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m., in the Congress Centre, located on the 1st floor (entrance hall). Each presenter is provided with a B1 format poster board (70 x 100 cm).

Organisational Committee suggest:
• Place the title of your poster at the top of the poster board to allow viewers to identify your poster.  Indicate title and authors' names. 
• Highlight at least the first author’s name, e-mail, and affiliation.
• Prepare all diagrams or charts neatly and legibly beforehand in a size sufficient to be read at a distance of 2 meters.  Paragraph and figure caption text should be AT LEAST 24-point font (0.9 cm height) and headers AT LEAST 36 point font (1.2 cm height). Use creativity by using different font sizes and styles, perhaps even color. 
• Use different colors and textures/symbols for each line or bar contained in your graph or chart. A serif font (e.g., Times) is often easier for reading main text, and a non-serif font (e.g., Arial or Helvetica) for headers and figure labels. 
• Organize the paper on the poster board so it is clear, orderly, and self-explanatory. You have complete freedom in displaying your information in figures, tables, text, photographs, etc.
• Use squares, rectangles, circles, etc., to group like ideas. Avoid cluttering your poster with too much text. Label different elements as I, II, III; or 1, 2, 3; or A, B, C, making it easier for a viewer to follow your display. 
• Include the background of your research followed by results and conclusions. A successful poster presentation depends on how well you convey information to an interested audience.
 
To locate your assigned poster board, look for your name (or number) in the top left corner of the Poster Boards.
• Posters should be set up between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15th.
• Posters must remain up until 7:00 p.m., October 15th.
• The poster session will begin at 5:30 p.m. and conclude at 7:00 p.m. October 15th.  
• Pushpins and other materials are available at the Help Desk.

Remove Your Poster

Posters must be removed on Wednesday evening between the hours of 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.  Posters remaining after these times will be removed. Organisational Committee cannot be responsible for posters and materials left on poster boards after the stated hours.

Help Desk 
 
The Help Desk is located at the entrance to Congress Centre.  Staff will be available to assist you with location and other on-site needs. Pushpins, tape, and scissors will be available for your use. Additional supplies may be available. If you have questions, please contact us at csma@ur.edu.pl.
